The Passion and The Anger

In recent years, I have learnt to curb my anger and bite my tongue! Certain things do still annoy me but I like to pass them off as some body else's business for fear of getting really   angered. Things that annoy me are injustice, hypocrisy, judgmental statements, behaviour that belittles others or looks down on others. Simply put unfair treatment of other human beings. The list would have been longer years ago but that would probably be attributed to my being affected by what people said, thought or whispered about me.  I have come to realise that I am a highly passionate being and as a result, I sometimes care far too much about people, situations or things that really shouldn't concern me. For that reason, over the years I do less of wearing my heart on my sleeves. It helps me to distance myself and just be the ear rather than try and be the one resolving the world's problems. Passion and anger are not always a bad thing when channelled to the right places. It giv...

Comfort Zone

People too often limit their horizons when attempting to or launching a product or a service. They often restrict themselves to familiar territories; family, friends, colleagues, ex school or University mates. It then baffles them when the excitement has died down that their client base is sometimes a handful or maybe not varied. To successfully establish oneself and build a sustainable name, brand, product or service, you need to move away from the familiar! Of course you must leverage the familiar in order to launch and for the initial word of mouth "free" publicity. However to be sustainable, one must look beyond their comfort zone.  The world is a large place. Seek growth beyond familiar territory. Try something new

Dare to Dream

It almost sounds silly to tell someone to dare to dream as it is often thought everyone dreams without even thinking about it. I am of course not referring to the dreams we have when we fall asleep, I am referring to the dreams we dream when we are awake, aspirations.  Not everyone dreams or if they do, some are too frightened to dream because of how people might perceive these dreams or they simply stop themselves because the dream was too ambiguous in reality and from a logistical angle!  However, let me reterate! Dare to dream!  The one piece of advice I always give to people is to follow your guts! Not everyone will have the vision that you have. Therefore, one must never forefeit their dreams because others could not see that vision. Most successful entrepreneurs for example were subject to ridicule in the early years of their businesses because others did not see their vision yet they dared to dream and successfully executed their dreams. In the words of Van ...

Defying The Impossible

What is defying the impossible? Impossible is varied from one individual to another depending on dreams, aspirations, desires, location and  simply the hunger to succeed. So when I talk about impossible, I refer to what any one individual views as difficult or hard to achieve within the constraints of their lives or pathway. Defying the impossible is about breaking bounds, breaking the status quo, exceeding the challenges or roadblocks that stumble us along the way, silencing the noises, sometimes media noises and never giving up no matter how the dark the path gets. Defying the impossible, is about going beyond where only an individual vision sees as possible even when the world does not  see that vision. Defying the impossible is about making dreams real and living them! Defying the impossible is about you!
